Wilkes Barre mayor Tom Leighton heard some compliments flowing from the WILK microphone toward his city and took some time to join The Morning News with Nancy and Kevin. It's nice to be noticed by the mayor... and it's to see the change-over downtown.  Leighton tells WILK he hopes to have a great announcment relative to filling the retail spots near the theater complex. The mayor also notes the record attendance at the Farmers\' Market and progress on the Intermodal Transportation Center.
