Is This Appropriate Attire For A Sports Reporter?

An interesting controversy is heating up in the sports world.  It seems a newspaper columnist in Milwaukee didn't think the pictured outfit being worn by ESPN sideline reporter Erin Andrews is appropriate for the workplace.  The workplace being the locker room and field.

Andrews wore the outfit while covering the game with the Brewers and Cubs.  The columnist said all the players in the locker room noticed her and that she "flitted" throughout, touching Alfonso Soriano's bicep, and calling players by their nicknames.

Andrews has countered saying that she thought we were past this as far as female sports reporters were concerned and said she didn't touch Soriano's bicep, but did feel a broken bone in his hand.

I don't think the controversy is about female sports reporters, but about gorgeous female sports reporters.  Andrews is constantly watched and photographed by fans in the stands and has become a cult figure at college football and basketball games.

So who's got the problem?  Andrews and her dress choices, or dumpy male reporters in their wrinkled Dockers who might not be able to get the access to the players that Erin Andrews can.
