What if John Edwards was the Democratic Presidential Nominee? Seriously. What if John Edwards did the right thing, and not run for office with this huge skeleton in his closet? There are some who would say that Hillary Clinton would be the Democratic nominee. Hillary came in third…Edwards was second in Iowa. If he were out of the running, would she have pulled in front of Barack Obama and won Iowa, and then continued with the momentum into the subsequent primaries. I have no doubt.
It’s bad enough you cheat on your wife, and let’s not get into her health problems as well. How could you ever do such a thing when you are considering a run for the highest office in the land? The two America’s John Edwards talks about makes a lot more sense to me now. He lives in both of them…one with the wife, one with the mistress.
John Edwards has hit rock bottom. The last thing I wanted to hear was his psycho-babble defense, his narcissism, his ego. These are only excuses when you get caught. He has embarrassed himself and his family for some illicit sex with a yoga instructor. Was it worth it John? You went from a Vice Presidential candidate in the history books to a one line joke of a question in a Trivial Pursuit game. I don’t think he came totally clean in his tv confession and more dirt is going to be uncovered. He was cold and calculated in doing the interview on the Olympics Opening Ceremony night. Don’t look to hear any more dirty laundry from the Edwards camp until the next big tv event. Sadly, you’ll probably have to read about it in the National Enquirer, since none of the supposedly ‘respectable’ news organizations uncovered this.
