This Presidential Race is far from over. Don’t believe the polls, the hype, or the talk coming out of either campaign. This race will be won solely on what’s going on in America the final days before votes are cast. One big thing to watch- the Stock Market. If it’s battling back, expect John McCain to get a little bounce in the polls. If it’s struggling, Barack Obama will continue to widen his lead. Unfortunately, no matter which candidate you favor…our next four years will hinge on what the climate is like in the week prior to Election Day.
I think it’s safe to say that John McCain is backtracking on his recent negative personal attacks on Barack Obama. Since the VP debate, Sarah Palin has been slamming Obama on his ‘terrorist pals’, notice the plural. They’ve said he’s risky, he’s dangerous, and now McCain finds himself in the uncomfortable position of defending the man his people have smeared. On Friday, he told a displeased crowd that Obama was a decent family-oriented citizen, and you don’t have to be scared if he’s President. His supporters must be totally confused with such erratic behavior. Now he says he’s gonna kick Obama’s ‘you know what’ in the Wednesday night debate. If he doesn’t deliver, I think alot of his supporters might lose their enthusiasm since he hasn’t come out swinging, or ahead in either of the first two debates. We’ll be watching, and listening, and I hope you’ll call in with your thoughts as we head closer to November 4th.
