Stock Market Woes
Things are bad. The fundamentals of our economy are not strong and the stock market is taking a hit. It’s been little over a month since Barack Obama has taken over the Presidency and already I’m hearing many Republicans calling talk radio saying he’s the worst President ever. The finger-pointing is terrible, and is ripping this country apart. You may not like the President’s plan, but voters made their choice in November. It’s going to take some time to right this ship…and freaking out right now is not going to solve anything.
We are seeing this in businesses all across the country. Times are tough, companies are tightening their belt, and the people who are going to succeed are the one’s who look for solutions, not finger-pointing. I’m hearing the complaining all the time. Here’s the scenario…company A needs to cut costs, so they terminate X amount of employees. The others are outraged, they start complaining, back-stabbing, slacking off…the mentality is “if I’m going to get fired, why should I care about what I do?” This is exactly the self-fulfilling prophecy that you need to avoid. Instead of bitching about who did what wrong, why not work harder to make things better?
It’s going to take some time to turn things around. We need everyone to work together for a solution. Make sure you’re using your energy in a positive way to make a difference.
