Feds at the Luzerne County Courthouse, Oh No!
WILK Newsradio received reliable information that both state police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation sent agents into the Luzerne County Courthouse, at Wilkes-Barre, today.
Our source says the agents retrieved files from the office of former, County Human Resources Director Doug Richards.
Commissioners' chair Maryanne Petrilla fired Richards today, the day after he submitted a resignation, effective December fourth.
Maryanne Petrilla says "I demanded an accounting from Mister Richards, relating to issues facing Luzerne County. He was unwilling to answer my questions. So, in keeping with this administration's policy of full accountability and zero tolerance, I told him he was terminated."
