Karen Holly Sentenced To Probation

Turns out today was a "Holly-day" in federal court in Wilkes-Barre. Former Wyoming Valley Sanitary Authority employee....and former magisterial district judge....Karen Holly was sentenced after she admitted she stole thousands from the authority. The West Pittston woman pocketed money from payments made by customers.  Holly repaid the up-to
$8-thousand and was allowed to resign. The authority did not press charges but the feds found out about the crime.  Today Holly was sentenced to two years probation....no fine.....30 days in a community confinement center....a hundred hours of community service...a 100-dollar assessment fee and she is not allowed to incur any credit charges and not allowed to open any new lines of credit.
